Kiva

So after watching a Vlogbrothers video just now, I decided to check out www.kiva.org to see what this whole lending money thing was about and decided it was a good enough cause for me to spare $25 or £17 to lend some money to someone in a developing country who needs money to build their business.

I think it's worth that amount of money to help somebody with their livelihood so that they can adequately feed their families and enjoy life. Once this loan is repaid to me, I intend to send it as a loan to somebody else so they can benefit!

Unexpected Happenings

When I went into my exam on Thursday, I was in a panic over how much I would remember and whether I'd revised the right things...being a history exam I was worried because I'm not that good at remembering dates or the names of people...and then I woke up today to find that I got a B on the exam, much more than the needed 10%. I'm rather happy now :)

I have an exam in one and a half days - I'd count the hours but I'm mathematically challenged when it comes to easy mathematical sums :)...

The things that I know for certain about the exam are :-It's on Thursday between 3 and 5. The subject is the History of Galicia.
The possible question are something about the Spanish civil war and how Galicia changed not just politically but culturally and socially also. There may be a question on the language of Galicia and how it's become more acceptable to speak it. There may be something on Emigration. If there's anything other than that, then I'm royally screwed unless I revise like hell tomorrow and Thursday morning.

Cannot wait for this exam to be over!

No Child Born To Die

Hey :)

So I've just watched a video by Liliesarelike on YouTube, and I think that it's one of the most important videos that I've seen her in. She highlights the fact that children in our country, and other developed countries have their immunizations at an early age without trouble, yet there are children in the third world countries who have no access to these injections...and a mother has to watch her child slowly die as they fight against a disease that's so simple to cure in this day and age.

I have to applaud her for her courage in standing up to this, and for her decision in going abroad to help raise awareness of this situation and attempt to change things. I know this message won't get to many people, but for those it does...I'd just like to ask that you follow Liliesarelike on YouTube and follow her journey...You can do so by following this link; http://www.youtube.com/user/liliesarelike, and clicking subscribe on her page.

Thanks :)

I now know where Azerbaijan is...which is a good thing, but the only thing I care about is that I keep saying it in French rather than English =)

I Love...

I love it when random people send you emails and they're actually nice :)

But I should get back to revising, since I can't justify replying to her email :(

Blah. Tengo que hablar solamente en espanol...quizas.
